Interview માં "Tell me about yourself" નો જવાબ English માં કેવી રીતે આપવો

"Tell me about yourself" જવાબનું ત્રણ ભાગનું માળખું: 1, Present, અત્યારે શું કરો છો; 2, Past, અહીં સુધીની સફર અને એક-બે સિદ્ધિ, સૌથી લાંબો ભાગ; 3, Future, આ job કેમ જોઈએ છે. કુલ આશરે 60–90 સેકન્ડ.

"Tell me about yourself" નો સારો જવાબ ત્રણ ભાગમાં ચાલે છે: અત્યારે તમે શું કરો છો (present), અહીં સુધી કેવી રીતે પહોંચ્યા અને એક-બે સિદ્ધિ (past), અને આગળ આ job કેમ જોઈએ છે (future). આખો જવાબ આશરે 60–90 સેકન્ડનો રાખો. એ તમારી જીવનકથા નથી, પણ interviewer માટે એક ટૂંકો નકશો છે કે તમે આ role માટે કેમ યોગ્ય છો.

આ લેખમાં માળખું, ત્રણ પ્રકારના ઉમેદવારો માટે English sample answers, કયા phrases વાપરવા અને કયા ટાળવા, અને જવાબને મોટેથી rehearse કેવી રીતે કરવો, એ બધું છે.

Interviewer ખરેખર શું જાણવા માગે છે?

આ પ્રશ્ન મોટે ભાગે interview ની શરૂઆતમાં આવે છે. Interviewer પાસે તમારો resume છે; એને એ ફરી સાંભળવો નથી. એ જોવા માગે છે કે તમે તમારી વાત ગોઠવીને, સ્પષ્ટ English માં, ટૂંકમાં કહી શકો છો કે નહીં, અને તમારો અનુભવ આ job સાથે કેવી રીતે જોડાય છે. તમારા જવાબમાંથી જ આગળના પ્રશ્નો નીકળે છે, એટલે જે વાતમાં તમે મજબૂત છો એ અહીં મૂકો.

Present → past → future માળખું

  1. Present (અત્યારે), ટૂંકું: તમારો role, કંપની કે અભ્યાસ, એક-બે વાક્યમાં. "At the moment, I'm…", "I've been working as… for… years."
  2. Past (પહેલાં), સૌથી લાંબું: તમે અહીં સુધી કેવી રીતે પહોંચ્યા, અને આ job સાથે જોડાયેલી એક-બે સિદ્ધિ. શક્ય હોય ત્યાં સંખ્યા કે પરિણામ કહો. "Before that, I…", "One thing I'm proud of is…"
  3. Future (આગળ), ટૂંકું: તમે હવે શું શોધો છો અને આ role એમાં કેમ બંધબેસે છે. "Now I'm looking for…", "That's why this role interests me."

ધ્યાન આપો કે દરેક ભાગનો tense જુદો છે: present simple અને present perfect, પછી past simple, અને છેલ્લે "I'm looking for" કે "I'd like to". Tenses માં ગૂંચવણ થતી હોય તો English tenses ની guide (English માં) ઉપયોગી થશે.

ત્રણ sample answers

નીચેના જવાબો ગોખવા માટે નથી; તમારી વિગતો મૂકીને માળખું વાપરો. શાંતિથી બોલો તો દરેક જવાબ લગભગ એક મિનિટનો થાય છે.

1. Fresher: સુરતમાં B.Com નો છેલ્લો વર્ષ

અત્યારે
I'm a final-year B.Com student at a college in Surat, and I'm looking for my first role in accounts.
પહેલાં
During my degree, I did a two-month internship with a local CA firm, where I helped prepare GST returns for around fifteen small businesses and learned to use Tally properly. I also managed the budget for our college fest, which taught me to keep records clean when a lot of people are spending money.
આગળ
Now I'd like to start my career in a company where I can learn how a bigger finance team works, and that's why this junior accountant role interests me.

2. અનુભવી: અમદાવાદમાં છ વર્ષથી software testing

I'm a software test engineer with about six years of experience, and at the moment I lead testing for a payments app at a product company in Ahmedabad.

"Myself Kunal" ભારતમાં ઘણું સંભળાય છે, પણ English માં એ સાચું વાક્ય નથી; "I'm Kunal" કહો. Family ની વિગતો, hobbies અને "hard-working" જેવાં વિશેષણો પહેલા જવાબમાં જગ્યા રોકે છે; એના બદલે એક નાનો પુરાવો આપો. આ ઉપયોગી phrases તૈયાર રાખો:

કેટલું લાંબું બોલવું: આશરે 60–90 સેકન્ડ

આનો કોઈ સત્તાવાર નિયમ નથી, પણ વ્યવહારમાં 60–90 સેકન્ડ સારી લંબાઈ છે. 30 સેકન્ડમાં તમે ફક્ત નામ અને ડિગ્રી કહી શકો; ત્રણ મિનિટ સુધી બોલો તો interviewer નું ધ્યાન છૂટી જાય. Fresher હો તો એક મિનિટની આસપાસ રહો; વધારે અનુભવ હોય તો દોઢ મિનિટ સુધી જઈ શકો. Interviewer વચ્ચે પ્રશ્ન પૂછે તો એ સારો સંકેત છે: જવાબ આપો, માળખાની ચિંતા ન કરો.

બોલીને rehearsal કેવી રીતે કરવું

  • Script નહીં, keywords લખો. ઉદાહરણ તરીકે: Present: B.Com, Surat, accounts · Past: CA internship, GST, college fest · Future: junior accountant. આખું લખાણ લખશો તો તમે એને વાંચતા હો એવું લાગશે.
  • Timer રાખીને ફોનમાં record કરો. પછી સાંભળો: ત્રણેય ભાગ આવ્યા? છેલ્લું વાક્ય job સાથે જોડાયું? "Um" કેટલી વાર આવ્યું?
  • દર વખતે થોડા જુદા શબ્દોમાં બોલો. માળખું અને મુખ્ય મુદ્દા એ જ રહે, શબ્દો બદલાય. એનાથી જવાબ ગોખેલો નહીં, સ્વાભાવિક લાગે છે.
  • Follow-up પ્રશ્નોની તૈયારી કરો. તમે જે સિદ્ધિ કહો, એના પર પ્રશ્ન આવશે જ: "Tell me more about that internship." અને "Why are you leaving your current job?" ના જવાબ પણ બોલીને તૈયાર રાખો.

"Tell me about yourself" વિશે સામાન્ય પ્રશ્નો

તૈયારી વખતે વિચાર ગુજરાતીમાં આવે તો વાંધો નથી, પણ keywords અને rehearsal English માં જ કરો. ગુજરાતી વાક્યોનું શબ્દે-શબ્દ translation કરવાથી word order ની ભૂલો આવે છે; ગુજરાતી બોલનારાઓની સામાન્ય English ભૂલો માં એ વિગતે સમજાવ્યું છે.

જવાબ ગોખી લેવો સારો?

માળખું અને 2–3 મુખ્ય મુદ્દા યાદ રાખો, શબ્દો નહીં. ગોખેલો જવાબ સપાટ લાગે છે, અને interviewer વચ્ચે કંઈ પૂછે તો આગળનું ભૂલી જવાય છે.

Fresher પાસે અનુભવ ન હોય તો past માં શું કહેવું?

Internship, college project, fest કે club ની જવાબદારી, part-time કામ કે online course: જેમાં તમે કંઈ કર્યું હોય અને એનું પરિણામ આવ્યું હોય, એ ચાલે.

Hobbies અને family વિશે કહેવું જોઈએ?

પહેલા જવાબમાં સામાન્ય રીતે નહીં, સિવાય કે hobby સીધી job સાથે જોડાયેલી હોય. Interviewer પૂછે તો ટૂંકમાં કહો.

તમારું રેકોર્ડિંગ પ્રોસેસ થયા પછી ડિલીટ કરી દેવામાં આવે છે. તેને ક્યારેય સાચવવામાં આવતું નથી — ફક્ત તમારું transcript અને પરિણામો રાખવામાં આવે છે.
